The Erie Shores Wind Farm will be officially opened today on the north shore of Lake Erie. The Wind Farm, consisting of 66 turbines, will generate enough electricity to power up to 32 thousand homes. Energy Minister Donna Cansfield will be joined by Clean Power Income Fund President and CEO Stephen Probyn, and Mike Crawley President and CEO of AIM PowerGen Corporation at southern Ontario's largest wind power project at 11 o'clock this morning. The threesome will toggle a very large switch as the Wind Farm is connected to Ontario's electricity grid. Also in attendance will be local MPP Toby Barrett and Norfolk Mayor Rita Kalmbach.
