Oxford Public Health is looking for help in tracking down a dog after a biting incident in Woodstock. Around 8 o'clock Thursday night a man was bitten by a husky or malamute dog while walking on Peel Street near Young Street in the city. Officials say the dog is white, black and grey and was on a leash being walked by a man between 18-30 years old. Health Officials are looking to speak with the dog's owner to ensure the animal is up on its shots and doesn't have rabbies.

Very little details are being released after a man was hit and killed by a train in Woodstock. Woodstock Police say he was crossing the CN tracks near Wilson Street just before 5 this morning when he was struck. The victim's name hasn't been released yet.

Firecrews were happy to see a vacant building when they arrived on scene to a fire this weekend. Woodstock Police say part of the Eureka Foundry was found engulfed in flames around 10:30 last night. No one was reported injured and the cost of damage is still being determined. The cause is still being investigated.

More money is on the way to the region courtesy of the Federal Government. Oxford MP Dave Mackenzie will be at the Tillsonburg Farmer's Market this morning to make a funding announcement that is said to help producers improve market access in the Sand Plains Region. A Woodstock woman has been charged after a domestic dispute turned violent. City Police say a man was assaulted with a knife, causing minor injuries. A 27 year old woman is facing charges of assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous to the public peace. No names have been released.

If you're plans for this weekend included swimming in the Pittock Reservoir in Oxford County, you may want to reconsider after blue-green algae was found in the water. Oxford Public Health are advising locals not to swim in the water. They are also suggesting you don't let your pets drink from the water and you don't eat any fish caught in the water. Public Health says the toxins in the water can stay there up to three weeks after the algae bloom is gone and can give you flu like symptoms, abdominal pain or diarrhea.

It could have been a lot worse... The Ministry of Labour is investigating an industrial accident in Woodstock that sent a teen to hospital. Yesterday morning Woodstock Police Service and other emergency crews got called to MTO Metal Products. There, a 17 year old summer student had an 800 pound piece of metal fall on his leg. He was taken by ambulance to Woodstock General Hospital with non life threatening injuries

There's no reason to panic, but Woodstock Police are asking residents to keep an eye out after a unnerving situation for a young woman. Monday - shortly after noon 16 year old girl was walking home from a Dundas Street West business when a man in a van started following and circling her. The white late 90's model Dodge Caravan was being driven by a man described as white, between 50- 60 years old with a clean shaven face, protruding front teeth, wearing eye glasses and ball cap.

A Norwich man is happy to have a small mystery on his hands. Back in late July we told you about a break-in at a home in Norwich where an old World War Two aircraft compass was stolen. Now the man discovered that a valuable wartime compass has been quietly returned. Officials at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton have said the compass is probably worth up to 15-thousand dollars.

A Woodstock man has been granted bail following an armed robbery at the Rexall Pharmacy on Springbank Avenue. 21 year old Abram Teichroen was arrested following the robbery and police say they have recovered all of the stolen prescription medication and a replica gun they believe was used in the robbery. Teichroen is charged with robbery, weapons dangerous, and disguise with intent. He will return to court in September
